After bowing to pressure from the public, British fashion brand M&S has promised customers that 90% of their dresses in their fall collection will feature both 1/2 and 3/4 length sleeves. If you’re like me, you might be thinking its time for a fresh, few fashion look in the sleeves department. Perhaps its finally time to finally toss the strapless/sleeveless look!
The chain’s new style director has made a new pledge to customers: “‘You told us you wanted dresses with sleeves, so for autumn 90per cent will have sleeves. I can personally promise that I mean real sleeves, full, three-quarters and half.” This promise came after customers criticized the brand of the dominance of unflattering sleeveless and cap-sleeve dresses.
The new collection will feature bright pops of colour and longer hemlines with a greater use of wool, silk and cashmere fabrics.
I have a suspicion that M&S won’t be the only fashion label to bring sleeves back… Just take a peek at our latest fashion raves for a subtle hint.
